"FOR MEN VERILY SWEAR BY THE GREATER; AND AN OATH FOR CONFIRMATION

IS TO THEM AN END OF ALL STRIFE

17 WHEREIN GOD, WILLING MORE ABUNDANTLY TO SHEW THE HEIRS OF PROMISE

THE IMMUTABILITY OF HIS COUNSEL, CONFIRMED IT BY AN OATH:

18 THAT BY TWO IMMUTABLE THINGS, IN WHICH

IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE, WE MIGHT HAVE A STRONG CONSOLATION, WHO HAVE FLED

FOR REFUGE TO LAY HOLD UPON THE HOPE SET BEFORE US:

19 WHICH HOPE WE HAVE AS AN ANCHOR OF THE SOUL, BOTH SURE AND STEDFAST,

AND WHICH ENTERETH INTO THAT WITHIN THE VEIL."

HEBREWS 6:16-19

AUDIO SERIES

WHAT IS HOPE?

HEBREW WORD = ELPIS

DEFINITION = THE JOYFUL AND CONFIDENT EXPECTATION OF GOOD, FROM GOD.

GOD IS A REWARDER TO THEM, WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.

HEBREWS 11:6

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,

and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

REWARDER; GREEK WORD = Misthapodotēs

DEFINITION = ONE WHO PAYS WAGES OR RECOMPENSES YOU.

GOD GIVES TO YOU, WHAT IS DUE YOU.

GALATIANS 6:7-9

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

WHAT DOES FAINT MEAN?

GREEK WORD = Eklyō

DEFINITION = TO DISSOLVE, WEAKEN, RELAX, EXHAUST AND GIVE UP.

WE ARE NOT TO BE OF THIS SORT. WE ARE TO PRESS ON AND CONTINUE, IN ENDURANCE AND JOY.

JAMES 1:2-4

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

JAMES 5:11

"Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."

WE ARE TO GO THROUGH ALL, LOOKING AT THE JOY SET BEFORE US.

WE WILL MOST CERTAINLY POSSESS THE PROMISES - IF WE DO NOT QUIT AND GIVE UP.

HEBREWS 12:2

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

HEBREWS 11

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."

HEBREWS 6:13-15

"For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise."

WE NEED TO IGNORE THE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND ONGOING - IRRITATING CIRCUMSTANCES.

WE MUST PLACE OUR MIND FIRMLY UPON GOD'S WORD - NO MATTER HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN,

OR THE YEARS WE HAVE MOST CERTAINLY TRAVELED.

JEREMIAH 29:11

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

WE MUST NOT LOOK AT OTHER PEOPLE'S BLESSINGS, AND BE JEALOUS OR ANGRY.

WE WILL POSSESS OUR BLESSINGS, IN DUE SEASON.

ROMANS 2:11

"For there is no respect of persons with God."

THE END IS THE GOAL.

DO NOT STOP IN THE BEGINNING OR THE MIDDLE.

WE MUST BE UNWAVERING SOLDIERS, MOVING FORWARD WITH GOD.

2 TIMOTHY 2:1-4

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

JAMES 1:5-9

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

INHERITNG AND OBTAINING THE PROMISES - IS NOT MAGIC.

BY FAITH, PATIENCE, DILIGENCE, DISCIPLINE AND WORK - WE INHERIT AND POSSESS.

HEBREWS 6:10-12

"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

PROVERBS 22:29

"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."

TRUTH - BIBLE STUDY

REMEMBER - YOU NEED TO KEEP THE ARMOUR OF GOD ON, AT ALL TIMES.

EPHESIANS 6:10-18

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

WHEN YOU BECAME BORN AGAIN, YOU ENTERED INTO A REAL WAR;

WITHIN THE INVISIBLE REALM - WITH SATAN.

THE DEVIL TRIES TO OPERATE YOU -THROUGH YOUR MIND.

THE DEVIL LONGS TO PROVOKE YOU, TO A WRONG MOVE OR ACTION;

FOR YOUR DEFEAT AND DESTRUCTION.

1 PETER 5:8

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

REVELATION 12:17

"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

REMEMBER, JESUS IS FOR YOU.

JESUS CAME TO GIVE YOU LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY,

WHILE SATAN COMES TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY.

HOLD ONTO CHRIST, THROUGH ALL THE EVENTS, SEASONS, YEARS AND EMOTIONS.

JOHN 10:10

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

DO NOT WORRY OR FALL INTO DESPAIR, PANIC OR RAGE;

ABOUT HOW GOD IS GOING TO HANDLE THE THINGS THAT ARISE.

JUST KNOW THAT HE WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL, THAT CONCERNS YOU.

PHILIPPIANS 4:19

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

1 PETER 5:7

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

DURING MENTAL ATTACKS:

1. STAND AS A GUARD ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR MIND,

NOT ALLOWING THE DEVIL'S NEGATIVE STREAM - INTO YOUR SOUL.

1 PETER 1:13

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

2. PLAY GOSPEL MUSIC AND WORSHIP THE LORD.

PSALM 149:5-9

"Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord."

3. PLAY AND/OR READ THE BIBLE OUT LOUD.

MATTHEW 4:1-11

"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him."

ROMANS 10:17

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

HEBREWS 4:12

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

4. PRAY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.

EPHESIANS 6:18

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

5. DECREE AND DECLARE - WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

DECREE AND DECLARE SHEET - BIBLE STUDY

6. REMEMBER - GOD IS FOR YOU, NOT AGAINST YOU.

ROMANS 8:31-39

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

CHRISTIANS LIVE BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT.

DO NOT BE SWAYED, WHEN YOU MUST WAIT UPON THE LORD FOR YOUR ANSWER,

ESCAPE, DELIVERANCE OR PROVISION.

WAIT IN PEACE AND CONFIDENCE IN GOD.

DO NOT GIVE WAY TO ANGER, BITTERNESS AND RESENTMENT;

AT THE LORD AND/OR OTHERS.

1 PETER 5:6-7

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

SEEK GOD DAILY.

HOW DO WE SEEK GOD?

BY READING HIS WORD AND THEN OBEYING IT.

MATTHEW 6:33

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;

and all these things shall be added unto you."

HEBREWS 5:8-9

"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him."

HOW CAN WE REALLY BE SURE OF GOOD COMING TO US,

AFTER ALL WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH?

1. BECAUSE GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE.

NUMBERS 23:19

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

PSALM 138:1-2

"I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.  2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."

2. BY BEING WILLING AND OBEDIENT SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF - THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

ISAIAH 1:19

"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land."

WHAT SHOULD WE DO WHEN WE ARE AFRAID?

TRUST GOD AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD, WITH GOD.

PSALM 56:3-4

"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me."

ISAIAH 41:10

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

PSALM 112:1

"Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments."

DEUTERONOMY 31:6

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

ISAIAH 41:13

"For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."

1 PETER 3:13-14

"And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? 14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled."

1 JOHN 4:18

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."

WHAT SHOULD WE DO WHEN WE ARE ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED?

REMEMBER THAT GOD IS A GOD OF COVENANT AND WILL FULLFILL

HIS PROMISES, AS WE REMAIN IN OBEDIENCE AND THE FAITH.

STAY THE COURSE.

JOHN 8:31

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed."

JOHN 15:9-10

"As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."

COVENANT - BIBLE STUDY

TRUST GOD AND CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD, WITH GOD'

READING, BELIEVING AND OBEYING HIS WORD.

ROMANS 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

REMEMBER, STORMS COME AND THEN STORMS GO.

MARK 4:1-34

"And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. 21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. 26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. 30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. 33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. 34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples."

DO AS JESUS DID - REST AND BE AT PEACE, KNOWING YOUR DELIVERANCE DRAWETH NIGH.

MARK 4:35-41

"And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

BELIEVE AND REJOICE.

PSALM 42

"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. 6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. 7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. 8 Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto - the God of my life 9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? 11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God, For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and My God.
